THE SHAKER HOTEL

The architectural study for the extension and height addition to the existing building meets the owners' needs to convert the building into a hotel. The design stems from the intention to create green spaces and tranquility within the plot. The building's spaces are organized around two planted open areas, which are strategically located in the center of the plot, on either side of the elevators. In doing so, the building is divided into two wings, which are connected by a 'bridge', giving visitors an unobstructed view of the garden or the city as they move vertically through the building.
The building is organized into five floors: the ground floor includes the reception area and lounge, gym, as well as a hairdressing and massage area. The first four floors of the hotel are occupied by single and double rooms, while the fifth floor houses the hotel restaurant with an outdoor terrace and bar. The facades of the building are covered with perforated metal sheet systems, which offer privacy and shade to the balconies while maintaining light diffusion.
